Denise has been a member of our club since 1998 and has been on the BOM for the past 16 years. For her distinguished service to our club she was made a Life Member. Denise is a SLSA Level 3 coach and has been coaching ironman, swimming and boards for the past 18 years. From 2006 to 2010 she was SLSA's National High Performance Coach. Denise has won many awards for her service to surf life saving including SLSWA Coach of the Year (2012), SLSWA Volunteer of the Year (2004, 2012), SLSA National Volunteer of the Year (2012), SLSWA Presidents Medallion (2007, 2011).

Julie has been a member of our club since 2005 initially starting out as Sausage Sizzle Co-ordinator before tackling the Avon Descent with Dave Barton that same year. She progressed on to become Director of Administration for 2 seasons and then joined the Fun Run Committee for 5 years before spending time gaining her Silver Medallion, Gold Medallion, Trainer Award and Assessor Award before re-joining the board of management in 2015 as Director of Education. Julie is an accomplished surf sports competitor having won numerous state titles and 2 Australian Bronze Medals in the beach relay team event (with some awesome master’s ladies) and an individual bronze medallion in the Beach Flags event over the years and more recently has become interested in the Champion Lifesaver Event and competed at both States and Aussies last few seasons. In 2017 Julie has returned to her origins in the club to take on the role of Social Activities Director.

I joined our club in 2011, achieved my Bronze Medallion in 2014 and have been volunteering as a Patrolling Member since. I am the Age Group Manager for U/11 (White caps) which my son Joel is in. My wife Emily is Age Group Manager for U/9 (Green caps) which my daughter Olivia is in. COB Surfclub has become our second home. The friendships formed and watching my kids achieve and become confident young people is what makes being a member all worth it for my family. Bring on a successful 2017/2018 season!

Cate joined our club in 2007 when her son Matt started in Minnows. She started helping out in the bar in 2010 and took over its management 2011 and has been the manager ever since. In 2012 Cate stepped up to take on the role of Director of Administration and has been performing that role as well since then. Cate has always loved Sunday morning on the beach!

James has been a member of our club since 1998 and has been the Ski coach for the past 2 seasons as well as a Patrol Captain. James is an accomplished surf sports competitor having represented WA in 2004, 2005 and 2006. In 2006 he was state U19 champion in the Board, Ironman and Ski events. James has also won Silver and Bronze in various team and individual events over the years. He has competed in the Avon Decent since 2006 when he won his class and has placed several times since. In 2007 James competed in the gruelling Coolangatta Gold endurance race.

Neil joined the City of Bunbury Surf Life Saving Club in 2016 and is the proud parent of Minnow Jared and Nipper Lucas (U8). He started helping out as a parent during his sons’ Sunday morning sessions and his decision to take on the role of Director of Youth was to contribute more to the club and strengthen his involvement as a part of the close knit community. Neil has a strong competitive and coaching background in a variety of sports including competition swimming as a youth, Rugby Union, cricket and surfing. His extended family has a long and proud association with the club dating back 70 years, and Neil hopes to continue the family tradition.

Hello fellow life savers, let me introduce myself as the director of surf life saving for this coming 2017/18 season. My name is Richard Banks and I have been with the club the last 4yrs. I joined with my wife Charlotte and Daughter Rosie ( white caps) and Angus (blue/ red caps) We moved to Bunbury from the south west UK where I had an industrial rope access company. My back ground is alpine skiing where I attained the highest level as a ski teacher and race coach. I raced various disciplines and in the category of speed skiing became the British champion skiing at over 100 mph in 19-- I coached a team in a World Cup even and travelled round the world many times over following winters. Since joining COB SLSC I have acquired my; Bronze medallion, IRB Crew, IRB Driver, Silver Medallion Advanced resuscitation, Spinal and Jet ski operator. I was also very privileged to be awarded the "Best patrol member " for the 2015/16 season. I look forward to seeing you all at the club and on patrol this coming season.

Craig has been a member of our club since 2015 and is the father of Jayden (U14) and Drew (U16). Craig was a nipper and junior at Sorrento SLSC and won several bronze and silver state medals in his day ;0. Craig joined the Board of Management in 2016. He was the Presidents' Trophy recipient for the 2016/2017 season.

Jeff and his family joined the club in 2011 after moving from Victoria where they had been members of Anglesea SLSC. He completed his Bronze Medallion and IRB Crew in 2012, Senior First Aid in 2016 and Training Officer course in 2017. Jeff became Director of Education shortly after the commencement of the 2017/18 season.
